On Location: Explore the North Shore with ISAIA
Welcoming our friends from the Mediterranean coast to our freshwater oasis.
While MartinPatrick 3 is known for bringing coastal Italian luxury to Minneapolis, it was time to give our friends at ISAIA a taste of our own luxurious shoreline.
We partnered with the renowned Italian menswear brand, founded in Naples in 1920, for an exclusive photoshoot featuring ISAIA’s highly anticipated Fall/Winter 2023 collection. This collaboration showcases the captivating rugged coastline of Lake Superior’s North Shore as the backdrop for an iconic display of luxury fashion, exquisite jewelry, and automotive excellence.
By bringing together the sparkling coastline alongside The Loupe’s curated jewelry collection and the elegant power of the new Ferrari Roma from Twin Cities Performance, the North Shore was an ideal backdrop for this dramatic coastal experience.
This once-in-a-lifetime collaboration leaves an indelible mark on the world of luxury fashion, jewelry, and automotive ingenuity, all in the heart of Minnesota.
Inside the Shoot
We had the opportunity to talk with the visionary behind the shoot, Michael Handis of ISAIA.
What about the North Shore was appealing to you as a Creative Director?
The North Shore was an opportunity to see ISAIA through the lens of a new climate and coastline. As a Neapolitan brand, we love celebrating the beauty of Campania, but this was an incredible departure in the very best way.
The location is a photographer's dream: The North Shore offers elements in their raw, honest form, matched with the tranquility and hospitality curated by MartinPatrick 3. Beautiful clothes and a racing green Ferrari helps, too.
What was the inspiration behind the FW 23 collection and this photo shoot?
The Fall/Winter 2023 collection explored the relationship between Savile Row and Neapolitan tailoring. We wanted to add Napoli's unique touch of softness and relaxation to the historically rugged garments made in the British Isles.
When arriving on the North Shore, I was immediately transported to my favorite photos of Paul McCartney in the Scottish countryside in 1969. With this in mind, we followed the Anglo direction of the collection in a unique way (something we call "Napulitanglo" style), all seen through the perspective of a sartorial sportsman in Minnesota.
Was there anything unique or surprising about your visit?
Not surprising per sé, but reaffirming: ISAIA feels amazing by the water. No matter the temperature.
